Crypto Funding Surges to $6B in July Amid Resurgent Market Activity
Blockworks Research reports a dramatic rebound in cryptocurrency funding during July, with over $6 billion deployed across the sector. The figure marks a significant acceleration from June's levels, underscoring renewed institutional confidence in digital assets.
Mergers and acquisitions accounted for $177 million of the total, with 96 funding rounds announced versus just 12 M&A deals. While deal FLOW remains subdued compared to historical peaks, the uptick suggests cautious re-engagement from strategic buyers.
Early-stage investments dominated the capital allocation, with seed and Series A rounds comprising the majority of activity outside post-IPO equity raises by Digital Asset Treasury companies. Coinbase Ventures emerged as the most active single investor, participating in 21 separate funding rounds.
